The crucial CB antenna

The CB antenna market has always been a growing one ever since the CB radio became a popular means of communication on America’s highways. Of the many questions that arise while choosing a CB antenna, the mounting location, mount size and ground plane stand out as prominent.

Most of these criteria are well taken care of with the Single trucker CB antenna. It’s relatively easy to fix them, and normally you can get the best performance out of them when they’re mounted at a location near the center of the truck.

Group talk — on the fly

Exchange of information on the fly between a group of people concerned is what makes the backbone of any business. Having said that, it’s no surprise that affordable conference calls are becoming increasingly common in the world of instant communication.

The technology of conference calls gives people the power to address and speak with a group over long distance, saving time and money. Established companies can even set up the facility almost instantaneously. You get a toll free number which you share with the people, together with the schedule for a telephonic meeting.

At the desired time, the group members dial the toll free number, and everyone is on the phone simultaneously – or should I say everyone is in the conference!

Making home theater versatile

Lately, everyone wants ‘more’ in everything. For instance, there’s got to be an alarm clock in the radio, and a grille in the microwave. The same with the home theater – I hear you ask, what else can it do?

Thankfully, home theaters are keeping up-to-date and with the new models such as the 5.1 home theater system enabling connection to the PlayStation, Xbox and Wii, so it doubles up quickly as a gaming monitor with fantastic cinema-like sound effects.

You also find home theater PCs which, of course can connect you to the Web, let you write emails… etc. But I guess that would put someone back in the ‘work mode’ and take the fun away from the cinema enjoyment of the home theater system.

Healthcare data – on the fly

Given the complexity of medical issues and as a check for unforeseen threats, modern healthcare relies heavily on various tests. That goes to say that healthcare professionals conducting check-ups on hospital in-patients must have all the test results available to them at their fingertips – literally.

Howard point of care carts can do just that, and much more. These carts come with a hi-tech monitor with a work surface that is spill-proof and can securely hold a notebook. The battery powered carts also designed for easy and stable steering and move on lockable, 360-degree swiveling casters.

The height of these nursing carts can be adjusted with the touch of a button, while an arm can set the distance of the monitor for trouble-free viewing. These point of care solutions are also designed for durability and ease of use.

Is your garden hose chlorine-ready?

Just as any other technology, hoses – as innocent as they may seem – have had their share of technological advancements. The simple garden hose has evolved on a technological level, too, and the new advancements have gotten rid of several persisting problems.

It would be common knowledge to a chemistry student that moisture, when combined with chlorine can form hydrochloric acid, which, as most acids, is corrosive and can damage the inner lining of a water hose very quickly. But not unless you’re using a corrugated metal hose.

This type of hoses are lined with metal for protection against chlorine. While offering flexibility, the corrugated metal hoses also tend to have a longer service life.
