This is an obvious rip-off of my site and it's mark that has been online, with copyright notices, since April, 2007 and the #1 Google search result for the term. Even if the infringement was innocent, it shows GROSS incompetence by Newsweek, their staff and research team. The relationship between Corporate Media and the Blogosphere has been very sensitive and the Corporate Media needs to know that copyright/trademark infringement laws work both ways. They don't own the Internet anymore than they own the news. I'm currently perfecting my Trademark application with USPTO and talking with attorneys regarding trademark infringement and dilution. You can get status updates, in as so far that are legal and sensible, at http://www.palintology.com. And in case you're wondering, I'm posting this here because you are the #1 search result as of today for Newsweek + Palintology.
